Why do people think bloodlines are such a big deal?

bloodlines do matter but it doesn't mean a horse without great bloodlines has no talent. this girl bought a 10,000 dollar horse with bloodlines and all for barrel racing she finished training it and couldn't beat my friend. my friend's horse was born at her ranch and died at her ranch last year that horse had no famous bloodlines and still beat a 10,000 horse :).
